The Business Manager will be responsible for the financial, contractual and logistics operations of the Entertainment Department. This will include the department’s budget and expenditures, working with vendors to ensure timely payment and contract compliance, and ensuring that the ships have the equipment and supplies necessary to provide the best programming possible.
Managing the entertainment & enrichment department’s global financial picture, tracking and reporting department financial results on a regular basis, providing detailed analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Providing conceptual expenditure approval to department managers, with the goal of optimizing both spending and savings.
Developing the annual budget, looking for ways to optimize expense reduction where possible while developing new programs.
Conducting regular negotiations with creative and production entities and brand partners.
Ensuring that all capital appropriation submissions and vendor agreements are contracted, recorded and filed in accordance with the fixed asset policy.
Reviewing & auditing vendor expenditures of company funds to ensure compliance with our agreements.
Creating and managing shipboard inventory systems. Works with the shipboard teams to ensure that all supplies necessary to operate a cruise effectively are in place at any given time.
Managing travel operations and expenses. Creates and administers policies to effectively manage vendor movements around the globe.
Supporting vendors in dealing with invoices, billing, managing payment timelines, etc.
Bachelor degree in Fine Arts and/or Finance preferred, equivalent experience considered.
3 years of experience in live/filmed entertainment or cruise industry business related function.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
