The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Data Architect who will design, build, and map dimensional data models in the HA Group next generation enterprise data warehouse as well as raw or lightly modeled data in Amazon Redshift/S3 as well as recommend and guide the best use of Amazon Web Services technologies to achieve the most efficient, scalable and responsive solutions to absorb and deliver new data sources blended with legacy data in a hybrid AWS/Oracle ecosystem.

Work closely with business users, Architecture, ETL, and Reporting teams to define, document, and deliver modeled subject areas within the Oracle data warehouse.
Create source to target mapping specifications for handoff to both local and offshore ETL developers.
Help establish, maintain, and improve standards, procedures, and best practices for data storage and movement into and out of Redshift/S3/Snowflake.
Leverage AWS and compatible tools/services for rapid prototyping and delivery of new data sets.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience and five or more years of on the job experience using relevant technology and software.
Expert SQL coder.
Experience with other scripted languages such as PL/SQL and Python are a plus.
Ability to accurately estimate work, manage project scope, and identify and communicate issues early to meet deadlines.
Strong knowledge and experience implementing dimensional data models using the Kimball design approach.
Strong knowledge and experience using Oracle Database Technologies (12c).
Strong knowledge and experience using AWS tools and technologies in Redshift/S3/Snowflake.
Excellent meeting facilitation, organizational and communication skills.
Ability to interact well with all levels with the organization.
Excellent problem solving/analytical skills with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed to complete projects.
