Our Holland America Group Employee Engagement Specialist Leads the planning of brand-specific and company-wide events for Seattle-area employees, and supports employee engagement initiatives and programs across all brands. She or he also supports the planning, implementation and administration of a variety of reward, recognition and culture-building and strengthening programs for land-based employees.
Plan and execute employee engagement events for Holland America Line, Seabourn and Holland America Group land-based employees, such as the annual holiday party, summer family picnic, brand town halls, brand partnership roll-out events, brand anniversaries, and others.
Manage employee recognition programs for Holland America Line, Seabourn, and Holland America Group as it applies across brands.
Coordinate regular information and engagement meetings, such as Human Resources Department Milestones and Coffee Connections.
Maintain professional relationships with vendors, representing the needs and goals of Holland America Line, Seabourn and Holland America Group.
Embrace the fundamentals of project management and demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
Lead volunteer teams to effectively deliver employee programs and events.
Demonstrate flexibility and respond to changing priorities.
Maximize resources and demonstrate creativity to ensure events and company-wide initiatives have high employee participation.
Deliver events and programs on-time and on-budget.
Bachelor's degree or related work experience
3-5 years of experience in corporate event planning
Ability to communicate effectively and independently with all levels in the organization and with external vendors.
Proficiency in Microsoft office products
Strong organizational skills and detail orientation
Experience with project management tools and practices
Ability to keep employee information and data confidential
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
