The Purchasing Analyst conducts in depth analysis and makes recommendations that drive improvements in the technical purchasing & logistics supply chain, resulting in best overall total landed cost of goods and services.

The Analyst will partner with Contract Specialist, Technical Operations, and other business teams to understand the needs of the group and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions within a global supply chain network.

Responsibilities:

  1. Use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes

  2. Assemble data, analyze performance, identify problems, and develop recommendations.

  3. Serve as financial analyst support for supply chain leadership providing quality analysis leading to correct strategic and tactical business decisions.

  4. Drive changes that will lead to improvements to sourcing, logistic processes, landed cost reductions, and improved company profitability.

  5. Analyze current supply chain positioning and develop supply chain expansion strategies to meet future business needs, particularly regarding supply chain network growth and optimization with the goal to improve supply chain scalability.

  6. Identify patterns or trends in industry from a supply chain perspective and report on findings

  7. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of end to end supply chain components including order fulfillment, forecasting, inventory management, master data management, item lifecycle and disposition and supplier planning for Deck and Engine products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Systems, Accounting, Business or Supply Chain/Logistics

  • Strong analytical capability and aptitude. Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development, and problem solving

  • Proficiency in SQL, big data, data analysis highly preferred

  • Ability to get results from cross functional teams

  • Fundamental understanding of business financial and accounting principles

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Tableau, or similar products
