Job Detail

The Talent Buyer is responsible for contracting and logistics of all regional based performers. Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager - EXC, and in conjunction with the Sr. Entertainment Manager and Regional Curators, the Talent Buyer will research and recruit regionally sourced entertainment elements with the goal of finding offerings beyond those on most other cruise lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing all regionally based entertainment offerings, using creative methods to find new and unique offerings not supplied by Port Agents.

  • Negotiating fees and terms, ensuring that all talent sourcing is done within budget and programming parameters set by the Sr. Manager–Entertainment.

  • Coordinating with the Logistics Coordinators to ensure timely travel and accommodation arrangements.

  • Adhering to company policies to effectively manage vendor movements around the globe.

  • Supporting vendors in dealing with invoices, billing, expense reimbursement, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3 years of experience in live entertainment and/or the cruise industry in a business-related function required.

  • Strong negotiation skills are a must.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
